Gerri Detweiler

Helping consumers find reliable answers to their credit questions has been the theme of Gerri Detweiler’s work for the past twenty years. She has been interviewed for more than 3000 news interviews including The Today Show, Dateline NBC, The New York Times, USA Today and Reader’s Digest. She is also an international speaker and has testified before Congress on consumer credit topics.

Gerri the author or co-author of four books. In addition to Reduce Debt, Reduce Stress (Good Advice Press 2009), she is also the co-author of Debt Collection Answers: How to Use Debt Collection Laws to Protect Your Rights (2009): Invest In Yourself: Six Secrets to a Rich Life (Wiley, October 1998, 2001), which was recommended in USA Today and Kiplinger’s magazine; and The Ultimate Credit Handbook (Plume, 1993, 1998, 2003).

Jo Ann M. Koontz is an attorney and CPA practicing in the areas of real estate, business organizations, and taxation. She represents clients in a wide variety of business and real estate matters, including commercial and residential real estate transactions, short sales, S corporation, partnership and LLC formation and reorganizations and the tax implications of business and real estate transactions, including purchases and sales of assets and equity interests.

She advises clients of potential tax consequences of contemplated transactions prior to entering into agreements for the transaction, so that together, working with the client, exposure to tax liabilities can be minimized.

John L. Moore is a board certified health law attorney and concentrates his practice in health and business law. Mr. Moore also represents financial services industry clients in stored value card regulation, licensing and contract negotiations. He provides legal services to health care entities, including physicians, medical groups, hospitals, ambulatory surgical centers, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies and billing companies. Mr. Moore has assisted numerous clients in private securities offerings for businesses as diverse as environmentally friendly "green" lighting to construction of surgical facilities.

Mr. Moore is a shareholder with the Firm. He graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law and he received his bachelor’s degree at Stetson University where he was Phi Beta Kappa and President of the Student Body. Mr. Moore was named by the United States Congress as the Harry S. Truman Scholar from the State of Florida in 1986. He also holds a Health Law certification.
